Wow these are just my favorite movies too! I’m thinking about making a similar essay but using my recs and also Brazilian books (where’s I’m from). Loved so much! 💘
I ABSOLUTELY love this post! I want to add to recent release for your list.
First, Save the Date by Mallory Kass as a mash up of Sweet Home Alabama, My Best Friends Wedding mash up. It is an ensemble romcom that highlights the 90s romcom vibe.
A book that I am listening now is Speak Now by Ash Perez (it's an audio first) book that feels like you are immersed in a Queer Nancy Meyer's movie with a chef in Big Sur and her ex friend who they may have feeling for who gets engaged.
I love this - so creative!! And, does it work in the inverse? Like, I LOVED "Book Lovers," so should I watch "You've Got Mail?" (I can't believe I haven't seen it before?!)
I love your marriage story! Mine is out of Richard Curtis - besides 30s and 40s classic romantic comedy, I've watched Four Weddings and a Funeral & Notting Hill dozens of times. And then I broke away from my tight ensemble of California friends to marry a Scotsman, and now I am living in those movies as the American woman in a big group of UK friends. Funny, though - even with your super helpful guide of rom com books according to rom com movie favorites, I have zero interest in READING rom coms. I love the movie genre, but just never feel it on the page.
Love this but I need 10 things I hate about you book recs tho!
Truly obsessed and now dying for Mash Up to come out! Amazing!

Adding everything in my goodreads list!
Saving this post… now this is gonna be your thing, I can tell!
I LOVED THIS TIMES ONE MILLION! These are the films that raised me. Thank you so much!
Is now a bad time to say that I’ve only partly watched one of these movies…
This is such a fun post!
I'm obsessed with this post. Immediately adding some of these on Libby. Thank you!
Yay! So glad you enjoyed it!

OK, I just said I don't read rom com but "immersed in a Queer Nancy Meyers movie" just sold me on giving Speak Now a try. Plus, Big Sur. Thanks!

Book Lovers is my favorite Emily Henry book and I’ve loved You’ve Got Mail since I saw it in 1998!
It's my favourite of her books too! K then I really need to watch this movie asap!
Love this list so much! When Harry Met Sally & You’ve got Mail are two of my favourites so always looking for book recommendations that fit their vibe
love this!! <3 thanks you Lizzie
We are kindred spirits! I adore all of these, but most importantly I 100% agree with The Lake House…how is this not more beloved?!
Loved this post so much!
