31 Whimsical Journal Prompts for August
Use these as self-reflection, creative writing prompts, or conversation starters.
Gosh, summer is slipping away so quickly! I can’t say I’m too terribly distraught about that, since I’m an autumn girl through and through, but it is still a whirlwind. Anyways, these journal prompts/conversation starters/whatever you call them have become some of my favorite posts to write each month. It always starts out a bit hard and then the creative juices start flowing like crazy which feels like the right way to approach something like this.
Without further ado, here are August’s questions. Use these as self-reflection, creative writing prompts, conversation starters with friends or strangers, or whatever else strikes your fancy!

What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Write a letter to your favorite fictional character from childhood.
List three small joys or nice things you’ve encountered in the past week.
